Edwin vs Jose

This off season for the Blue Jays is going to be revolving around one player, Edwin Encarnacion. Jose Bautista is going to take his arrogance and controversy elsewhere. He was a great player but his last season really left a bad taste in our mouth with his injuries and lack of clutch in the ALCS. Bautista was always known as a clutch player, he came through a couple of times in the season but when his team needed his bat the most, he batted .167. He never changed his swing-for-the-fences approach and it cost the Blue Jays valuable offense. He had a great tenure with the Blue Jays but I believe his time here is over.

Edwin Encarnacion is different. He is 33 years old and is one of the most consistent hitters in our lineup. He can play great defense and his batting numbers are out of this world. I really hope that we can resign him but I know there is a limit. I think 3 years for 25 million would be the max. Anything more would be way too risky. Look at the David Price trade as an example. He under performed by a mile and still has 6 years left on his contract. We don't want to make the same mistake as Boston.
Who do you guys think we should keep and what are you willing to pay?
